How Chester Upland spends the money has been the center of the district's troubles. It has been the core reason for why the district was brought under receivership. But now the elected school board is in charge again and the big question is...will mismanagement happen again? It's a good question but the only way to answer it is to follow the one thing that counts. As they say... "Follow the money...".
Now the chart you see above was quickly created by myself using the latest budget agenda handed out by the school board this past meeting on August 19th. All of the checks paid that were under $1000 dollars were not detailed by category or listed by name. Only the top five recipients of checks paid out in the largest categories have been detailed. In doing this I was thinking that sometimes it helps to see things visually as a graph as opposed to a bunch of words.
